From Practitioners: When you claim or create a profile, we collect your name, email address, location, professional bio, certifications, specializations, website, and any other information you choose to include in your profile.

From Visitors: We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and usage analytics to understand how the Directory is used.

Contact Forms: If you submit a claim request or founding application, we collect the information you provide in that form.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To display your practitioner profile to visitors
• To process founding program applications and payments
• To communicate with you about your listing or account
• To improve the Directory and user experience
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Practitioner profile information is publicly displayed on the Directory by design — that is the core purpose of the service. We may share information with:

• Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) to process subscription fees
• Email service providers to send transactional emails
• Analytics providers to understand site usage (anonymized)

All third-party providers are contractually bound to protect your information.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies, primarily to remember your dark/light mode preference. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics may use cookies to distinguish unique visitors (these can be blocked without affecting core functionality).

6. Data Retention

We retain practitioner profile data as long as your listing is active. If you request removal, we will delete your profile within 30 days. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email hello@thehumandesignsystem.directory. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage of sensitive data, and access controls. No system is 100% secure; please use strong, unique passwords and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Children

The Directory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to registered practitioners via email.
